Time to celebrate the 4th of July, and the upcoming Historicon with some war gaming!

What’s on the agenda?

  • Terrain Building -  ‘cuz  ya know,  range hurts.
  • Painting
  • Assembly

The games?

All this week I want to try to get some exposure to the genre, and share my experiences.

I welcome your comments on the subject, and if you’d like to submit something on the topic drop me a line here  in the comments, or…

Another great day at #Origins2010

I had two great Art College Sessions today, with the artist from Wyvern’s Tale, on blending colors, and painting eyes on minatures.  She’s been a great person to talk to about the mini’s this weekend, and does absolutely gorgeous work.  I can’t wait to start putting her advice to work on my own projects, and hope to run into her again at GenCon later this summer!

I watched some demo’s being played with the Splintered Light minis, but unfortunately didn’t get a chance to sit in personally.   There are war campaigns, and skirmish matches you can play with their mini’s now.  I can’t wait to give those a try!

Love it – The Power Palette by Reaper

Power Palette

Pop any picture into this tool, and it helps you find a match to the paint, using the Reaper Master Series of Paint.

I keep a paint log of all the projects that I do, so that I can remember what I liked, or how I achieved a certain effect.  When I see the other works or color schemes I like, I just pop the picture in here, and it gives me a break down of colors that would match.
