Dice Bag Far

With three weeks left to go until GenCon,  there is a lot of great info floating around on the web.

From RPG Blog II:  Gen Con Do’s and Don’ts

From Gnomestew:  GenCon Registration Tips

From Helium: Gaming Conventions: Tips for attending GenCon

From Living Dice:  GenCon 2010 Exhibitors and Vendors

From Board Game Geek:  A thread for first time GenCon visitors.

From EN World:  Apps for RPG’s

And my own suggestions  for Apps.

What tips or articles do you recommend?  Let us know in the comments.

Game Demo’s from #Origins2010

I spent an hour or so with John McBride, of Splintered Light Miniatures, learning how his skirmish system worked.  He guided my friend and I through a scenario that showcased the tactical strategy you could employ using the minatures.  Sadly, I couldn’t roll to save my life (or in this case my Badger Lord, and his Mole friends lives), and the Fox and his Rat Brigade controlled by my friend took out my little band of heroes.

Dice Bag Far

Saw this question from @trafalger today on Twitter, and thought it was a great topic, since I too have been checking out apps in preparation for Origins & GenCon.

All apps listed are for Android, but i’m sure there are similar if not the same ones available for iPhone.

So far I’ve checked out some dice rolling apps, and have decided I like Dice Bag by droid hut the best so far.  Has options I can use across many games I play, and you can add custom die.  There a are a ton of dice rollers… find one that suits your tastes!
